- THESE TOOLS FROM MY FATHER
-
I don't know if a person's tools, I mean the instruments and objects that are used with the hands to fix something or to work with a material, are in some way autobiographical, that is, they talk about their master or whoever owns them.
These tools from my father that I still have _ perhaps some were from my grandfather_which I don't know, must be more than seventy years old and today I use them from time to time.
I remember them, as a child, in the hands of my father, always fixing everything. Some utensils were invented by himself for a special and unique use.
These tools, beyond the character and wear of use, the patina of time, their formal beauty, these objects are, above all, through their touch and smell, powerful memory enhancers.
