T.E.U. acronym of “tanc els ulls”, “I close my eyes”, is a creative and educational project guided by artist and photographer Carles Roig in collaboration with 200 children, aged eleven, their teachers and their families of seven schools of the island of Menorca, developed between Novembre 2010 and May 2011.

In an artist book each of the children express their memories, their experiences and their dreams and concerns for the future. It is an opportunity to advance in the construction of their own identities, to know themselves and their friends and families at a time of transition from childhood to adolescence.

My proposal is to give voice to youngers and listen carefully.

The resulting works were exhibited in Ciutadella Sa Nostra Gallery, from 6 to 24 May, and in Maó Sa Nostra Gallery, from 27 May to 13 June 2011.
